Old South is a neighbourhood that makes up many smaller neighbourhoods, including Belvedere, Duchess Ave., Dunkirk Place, Gartshore, Rosel and Wortley Village. Old South is known for Thames Park and its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. It’s a popular spot for walking, picnicking, and enjoying the riverfront. The Wortley Village section of Old South is also popular for its boutique shops, restaurants, and well-maintained historic homes. Homes in Old South vary greatly in size from cottages / bungalows to larger homes. Most of the homes in this neighbourhood were built in the early 1900s. Thames Park with access to the Thames Valley Parkway, Community Gardens, and Farquharson Arena are in the neighbourhood.
